Lucky Day

Lucky Day is an exclusive dog walking service that exercises dogs uniquely to each dog’s needs. It’s always their Lucky Day when your dog gets to run around, hike the bluffs and play with other dogs instead of sitting on the couch or in a kennel all day – waiting for your return.
More than 52% of dogs are estimated to be overweight or obese in the United States (source), and most dogs chew on things as a way to release energy. With Lucky Day, when you come back from work or vacation, your dog will be happily exercised and content.

In addition to being locally based, serving the Rochester area, Lucky Day is different for many reasons. Our Dog Walking/Pet Sitting Packages include many features that come at no added cost to you!

Thirsty pup? – We refresh water bowls as part of a standard visit

Hungry pup? – We also accommodate to your pup’s feeding schedule if necessary, per your feeding instructions

Snacks for the pup? – Owner, Zoey, makes “Lucky Pawstries” – homemade treats! Upon request she is willing to bake carrot or peanut butter featured treats

Playful pup? – We will include backyard and in-house play time for your pampered pup upon request. Feel free to leave out favorite toys for us to play with upon the visit

Pup in training? – No problem! We are extremely open to learning the training command specific to your pup and making sure they are reinforced on our walks! In fact, we encourage you to show us as much as possible so we do not “undo” or “confuse” your pup

Say CHEESE! – We take pictures of your pup and send (email or text) them to you upon request. In fact, we enjoy capturing your pup being their fun-loving, quirky selves. We also have high hopes that, in sharing these moments with you, it will offer up some smiles on your end when you are away on vacation or at work!

Track our walks – Be assured that, while you are out, your pup is getting the most bang for your buck! Along with the photo, we will send (email or text) a map of the exact route we took that included exact mileage

Loving pup? – We pride ourselves in loving and pampering every dog that enters our Lucky Pack. Cuddling, petting, brushing, and whatever else your pup may need can be arranged

Multiple walks – We have 15 minute visit package available!

Last Minute Arrangements – We promise to do our absolute best to ensure that your pup is taken care of when you are in a pinch!

Hello there,

My name is Zoey Jantsan. And I just started a dog walking business in Rochester, MN.

Not long ago, I used to feel so guilty when I leave my golden retriever, Lucky, for work. After work, he’d greet me with the kindest love that is shown in every wag of his tail. I had finally come home to him. After 8+ hours at the office and daily chores, all I wanted was to sit on the couch and binge watch Game of Thrones. It was worse on the days that I had to run errands or meet with friends, I’d feel so guilty. I wasn’t providing an exciting life for my dog.

Fast forward few years, my boyfriend and I rescued a 10 week old puppy from Iowa. We thought they’d play together while we’re away at work. Sure having a brother and a companion is great for both of them, but they still needed to let energy out (the puppy definitely let us know by chewing every nice thing in sight), explore and be stimulated.
On the weekends, we’d hike in the woods, go fishing at state parks, invite puppies over to compensate for the week ahead. We’d often dog sit for friends because it helps all the dogs to feel stimulated with different surroundings.

So that’s how it started, the love for my dogs helped me come up with a brilliant idea. I started walking friends’ and neighbors’ dogs while they were away for work. By the time they come back, their dogs were tired, relaxed and ready for some quality couch time with their owners.

I’m trying to establish my business and expand. We’re called Lucky Day Pet Service. We walk, run, hike, socialize and swim/snow shoe. It’s always our Lucky Day when we get to walk our furry friends. We have some affordable pricing and flexible schedules. We’d love it if you could help spread the word for us.
